Produce that inspires… knowledge.
Our passion for produce and drive to share knowledge across the chain is one of our biggest differentiators at Earl’s Organics.
LATE HARVEST CALIFORNIA PEACHES
We are coming to the end of the California peach season and the transition from early season peaches, to late harvest peaches. They are lower in moisture and less juicy than early varieties but they are full of flavor.
TINY CHAMPAGNE GRAPES
Organic mini seedless Champagne California grapes are bursting with flavor. Johnni Soghomonian from Three Sisters Organic says “You can eat them in little clusters, stems and all. You get a little fiber and fabulous flavor!.”
“THE LITTLE ORGANIC FARM” -LA GRANJITA ORGANICA
La Granjita or “The Little Organic Farm” is a small 2.5 acre farm run by Victor Cortez and Veronica Ceja in Hollister, CA. After 25 years in Mexico, they immigrated to Gonzales, California to form their family and in search of more opportunities to improve their livelihoods.
SECOND & SWEETER FIG CROP
Now is the best time of the year to eat fresh figs. The first crop arrives in June and hasn't developed the honey sweetness we associate with a delicious fig. There is a brief break during July before the 2nd crop arrives around the end of July/early August. Figs develop their peak flavor from the middle of August to around the middle of September. In our opinion it is worth waiting for that delicious, incredibly rich and sugary fig.
SUNRISE ORGANIC FARM
Nestled in the heart of the Santa Rita Hills, Sunrise Farms grows over 200 varieties of seasonal row crops including sweet, crisp Nantes carrots, kales, peppers and tomatoes.
GRAVENSTEIN APPLES, A LOCAL FAVORITE
Gravenstein Apples are a local favorite out of Sebastopol grown by Johnny Appleseed from Solana Gold. It is one of the first California apples to be harvested and hints of fall around the corner.
THOMCORD GRAPES
Thomcord grapes are a cross between Thompson grapes (crunchy, sweet and seedless) and Concord grapes (deep purple color, classic grape flavor) which gives you the best of both varieties.
ARROYO GRANDE BERRY FARM
Maria Iniquez never imagined she would change her career from cosmetologist to farmer. In 2016 Maria took over Arroyo Grande Farm after her brother passed away, with no experience farming and no one to teach her. Arroyo Grande is now harvesting sweet raspberries.
SUNNY CAL FARMS
Sunny Cal Farms mission is to put quality and flavor above all else. Owned and operated by third generation grower/shipper C.J. Buxman, former president of Fruit World Co., and his wife Maureen.
