CALIFORNIA CHERRY SEASON OFF TO A GOOD START
The cherry season is very short in California and typically lasts 6 to 8 weeks depending on the weather or variety. Dwelley in Brentwood now harvesting sweet Tioga and Royal Hazel cherries.
RHUBARB A SIGN OF SPRING
Beautiful red stalks of rhubarb signal the beginning of spring. Often thought of as a fruit, rhubarb is actually a vegetable.

SWEET CALIFORNIA CHERRIES
California Stone Fruit season kicks off with sublime Tioga Cherries. Tiogas have glossy firm dark flesh and a very sweet flavor that is similar to Bings.
GREEN GARLIC
Spring brings Green Garlic, also known as young garlic or spring garlic. Green garlic is harvested young before the bulbs develop or dry out. It is harvested at the beginning of spring so its immature bulb and edible, soft green stalks can be used for their slight onion and garlic flavor.
DURONDEAU PEAR
The Durondeau Pear has a golden exterior with streaks of red blush and is covered all over in a soft russet. They are a bit tart with a crisp bite and a floral flavor.
ABATE FETEL PEAR
Originating in France, the Abate Fetel pear has an elegant elongated shape with yellow skin that often is russeted. Sweet and aromatic, this pear is wonderful for cooking and eating out of hand. The Abate Fetel softens quickly so be sure to enjoy this variety while still slightly firm.
BUCK TDE MANDARINS
TDE Mandarins are a triple cross between a Temple Tangor, a Dancy Mandarin and an Encore Mandarin. They are very sweet and juicy with a wonderful balanced tart flavor. Did you know that TDE Mandarins branches are very thorny making it hard and delicate work to pick? TDE’s are a true labor of love.
MORO BLOOD ORANGES
Moro Blood Oranges are now coming out of the Central San Joaquin Valley. Blood Oranges are packed with vitamin C, carotenoids and are high in potent antioxidant properties. Excellent for juicing and eating out of hand. Try this delicious radicchio blood orange salad.
LARGE INTENNZA PAPAYAS
The large Intennza Papaya has a melon-like flavor, fragrant aroma and beautiful salmon red interior.
