CAL-ORE FAMILY FARMED ORGANIC POTATOES
Cal-Ore Produce was founded in 1976 by a small group of family farmers in the Klamath Basin. The growing region of the Klamath basin has cool nights and warm days that are perfect for growing organic potatoes. Now harvesting organic red, gold and russet potatoes under the Nature's Pride label. Take a peek inside Cal-Ore's operation as a group from Earl's visits the packing sheds and even rides the Spudnik harvester!

The first Cranberries of the season are here! Cranberries are incredibly good for you and are not just for enjoying during the holiday season. Eaten fresh, frozen or dried, cranberries are high in vitamin C, fiber and vitamin E and packed with antioxidants.

PASSION FRUIT
Passion Fruit are ripe and ready to eat when they start to wrinkle. Cut in half, scoop out and eat the pulp and seeds! Pairs well with smooth and buttery California Keitt mangos.
GAI LAN OR CHINESE BROCCOLI
Gai Lan or Chinese Broccoli has a taste similar to broccoli but slightly more bitter. Gai Lan is a Brassica oleracea plant species that includes cultivars such as cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, brussels sprouts and collard greens.
BOUCHEY FARM TOUR
Bouchey Farms is a third generation farm located in Wapato, Washington in Yakima Valley. They specialize in red, gold and russet potatoes and Russian Banana, Amarosa, Purple Pelisse and French fingerlings.
WATERMELON GHERKINS
Watermelon Gherkin cucumbers are shaped like baby watermelons and are about the size of your thumb. They taste similar to a cucumber with a hint of lemon.
PICKING A RIPE MELON
California melons are at the peak of flavor! California melon season begins around Memorial Day. Picking a ripe melon is very difficult and is not an exact science. Melons ripen on the vine and do not get any sweeter once picked although texture and flavor can improve.
TRACELAND AVOCADO SEASON CUT SHORT
Traceland avocados out of Morro Bay came on a month earlier than usual with a small and fast season. Buyer beware: Late season California avocados will be very mature, high in oil and need to be eaten firm.
