Equal Exchange Bananas are grown in Ecuador by small farmers under the AsoGuabo Cooperative. Farmer cooperatives are groups of small farmers that have come together to collectively operate their businesses at a larger scale. They share resources, capital, and knowledge, democratically electing leadership and collectively making decisions.
TAYLOR’S GOLD PEARS
The Taylor's Gold pear can grow to be the largest of the pear varieties Frog Hollow tends to and like the Warren is smooth fleshed and equally well suited to eating fresh and baking. Taylor's Gold pears are harvested in early September and often available until December.

Late summer produce is starting to wind down and it is the time of year to start making room for the wonderful bounty of Fall. There is a chill in the morning air and new crop California red Gala apples and fragrant Bartlett Pears are the stars of the show.
CALIFORNIA GALA APPLES ARE A SIGN OF FRESHNESS!
September is the time to celebrate the fresh apple crop after months of apples coming out of cold storage. Galas are now being harvested out of the Sacramento Delta River and the San Joaquin Central Valley, less than 85 miles from San Francisco.
STEVE CHINCHIOLO 4TH GENERATION APPLE GROWER
Steve Chinchiolo and family have been growing a variety of organic apples, grapes, stone fruit and almonds for 4 generations in California's Central Valley. Steve grows Gala’s, Fuji’s, Granny Smith’s, Pink Lady’s as well as a fun mix of heirloom apples for their cider company, Far West Cider.
CONCORD GRAPES
Beautiful deep purple seeded Concord grapes are highly aromatic. We would even say they have a floral flavor. One bite and you are reminded of drinking a delicious glass of grape juice. That is because grape juice and grape jelly are made from Concord grapes!
TODD FAMILY FARMS BARTLETT PEARS
Dan and Alice Todd are 4th generation farmers with 11 acres of organic Bartlett green pears in Potter Valley in Mendocino County. In 2013 Dan’s oldest son Andy returned home to learn the craft of farming and continue the family’s legacy with his children. “If I could give one message to the consumer it would be buy quality fruit, don’t just buy because it’s pretty. I do think there is a distinct difference with pears and where they come from, and I think Mendocino Pears are pretty exceptional, “ says Dan Todd.
LA GRANJITA ORGANICA “THE LITTLE ORGANIC FARM”
La Granjita or “The Little Organic Farm” is a small 2.5 acre farm run by Victor Cortez and Veronica Ceja in Hollister, CA. After 25 years in Mexico, they immigrated to Gonzales, California to form their family and in search of more opportunities to improve their livelihoods. Now harvesting Watermelon Gherkins, Anaheim, Jalapeno, Serrano, Green Bell Peppers and Mixed Medley Cherry Tomatoes.
NEW POTATOES
Fresh dug fingerling new potatoes are now in season from Sunrise Organic Farm in Lompoc, California. New potatoes have not been cured, meaning that the skin is thin and delicate. New potatoes are often creamy and less starchy than more mature potatoes.
