SPRING ONIONS
Spring onions have crisp green leaves and firm white or red bulbs. This mild tasting onion is its own unique variety. They can be grown year round but they are usually highlighted during the spring. Now is a great time to try them when some of the storage onions are almost finished and we are waiting for the new fresh crop.
RHUBARB A SIGN OF SPRING
Beautiful red stalks of rhubarb signal the beginning of spring. Often thought of as a fruit, rhubarb is actually a vegetable.

GREEN GARLIC
Spring brings Green Garlic, also known as young garlic or spring garlic. Green garlic is harvested young before the bulbs develop or dry out. It is harvested at the beginning of spring so its immature bulb and edible, soft green stalks can be used for their slight onion and garlic flavor.
DURONDEAU PEAR
The Durondeau Pear has a golden exterior with streaks of red blush and is covered all over in a soft russet. They are a bit tart with a crisp bite and a floral flavor.
IMPORT BARTLETT PEARS
Bartlett Pears from Argentina, also known as the Williams Bartlett, are the delicious piece of fruit we all recognize and love with its sweet flavor and smooth texture.
BACON AVOCADOS
Bacon Avocados have smooth bright green skin and creamy pale green flesh. Their mild flavor is delicious on avocado toast or in a winter citrus salad. Be careful when cutting this avocado into slices as the skin is very thin and delicate. We recommend peeling back the skin and then slicing the avocado.

Read on to learn how to cut and enjoy papayas, more health benefits and storage and ripening tips.
MORO BLOOD ORANGES
Moro Blood Oranges are now coming out of the Central San Joaquin Valley. The red flesh varies in intensity depending on the variety, location where the trees are grown and the degree of fruit maturity.
BUDDHA HAND
The unusual buddha's hand looks more like a fruit grown in an alien galaxy than on a citrus tree. No two look exactly the same and they are mesmerizing to look at. The fruit is all rind with no juice or pulp.
