EARL’S CITRUS BUYER UPDATE

Cold and wet weather is affecting the volume and quality of citrus across all growing regions. We are tap dancing through clear rot, which doesn’t show up until after harvest, on all citrus varieties. Tule fog in the central valley is keeping the groves and fruit moist. Our QA-IC department is keeping a close eye on quality. Expect citrus to be a challenge and to be patient as the citrus season continues to be fluid. Look for the next citrus to be harvested after the Thanksgiving holiday.
