Earl’s Organic Introduces California Grown Seasonal Limited Edition Heirloom Salsa

San Francisco, CA September 12th, 2012

Earl’s Organic Produce, the only 100% organic wholesaler in the San Francisco Produce Market, is excited to announce the launch of Earl’s Organic Seasonal Limited Edition Heirloom Salsa.  This is Earl’s Organic first private label item.

Heirloom tomatoes are unique because they are only available for a limited time.  The true season of a California heirloom starts in July and can last through November, depending on the weather.  Earl’s will only be offering this certified organic heirloom salsa as long as the tomatoes are at their peak flavor.

Earl’s has been sourcing the best organic produce and developing relationships with growers for over 25 years.  Earl’s has partnered with Chris Cadwell from Tutti Frutti Farms in Lompoc, CA, one of the oldest organic heirloom growers in the state.  Lompoc is located in the Santa Ynez Valley near Santa Barbara where the unique climate of cool nights and hot days allows the fruit to develop the proper acid/sugar balance without becoming overripe. Earl’s felt their close relationship with Tutti Frutti presented a unique opportunity to partner with an excellent grower and to fill a niche in the market that lacked fresh heirloom variety organic salsas made with extraordinary flavor.
