California Mango Salmonella Outbreak Update
A recent mango salmonella Braenderup strain outbreak affecting the state of California and Canada has been linked to conventional Mexican grown “Daniella” brand mangoes. California has had 80 cases of this type of salmonella, and 67% of those people reported eating mangoes, the California Department of Public Health said.
